Purpose, amount, ways of payment of the fines:

Fines are charged for borrowed overdue items or items that haven’t been renewed in time. That is done in order to discipline users, follow loan terms more responsibly as items are necessary for other users.

Fines are charged since the following day after due date and stopped when an item is returned. Fine amount – 0,03 € for every item and every delayed day. User is given a credit – 5,00 €. When this limit is reached, your library account is suspended. The largest amount to be paid – 1 basic social benefit.

How to know fine amount?

University students can see fine amount in University Student portal, all members of the University community can write e-mail info.biblioteka@vdu.lt, call or come to any library department.

How to pay fines?

Fines are transferred to VMU accounts:
UAB SEB, account LT04 7044 0600 0284 8625,
DNB BANKAS, account LT89 4010 0425 0278 5505,
SWEDBANK, account LT79 7300 0101 3113 5650.
PURPOSE OF PAYMENT – Biblioteka. Delspinigiai.

! Remember to designate the surname of the individual in purpose of payment, if you pay for another person.

The payment transfer copy should be sent via e-mail: info.biblioteka@vdu.lt. The fines are cancelled only upon confirmation from the user.
