Presentation of the first book on Lithuanian history written in Arabic at Leonidas Donskis Library

On February 23, 2026, the Leonidas Donskis Library will host an international seminar “The Role of Cultural Diplomacy in Bilateral Relations between Lithuania and the Arab Republics of Egypt”.

During the event, the book “History of Lithuania” by assoc. prof. dr. Rūstis Kamuntavičius (translator – Omer Fras Haji), published in Arabic by the Library of Alexandria, will be presented, and the possibilities of cultural cooperation between Lithuania and Egypt will be discussed.

The seminar will be attended by the author of the book, prof. dr. Mahmoud Ezzat (Director of the Center for Strategic Studies of the Library of Alexandria), prof. dr. Šarūnas Liekis and doctoral student Walid Blila, who will moderate the discussion.
