Excursions and events
The library invites schoolchildren, students, university guests and others interested in library activities to get acquainted with the physical library spaces and collections of information resources.
Organised excursions:
- Library is open to everyone. During the excursion, you will get acquainted with modern library spaces and its services. Tours are organized in all library departments.
- Leonidas Donskis space: dialogue with thoughts. During the tour you will get acquainted with a philosopher, professor L. Donskis’ office, his personal library and hear the story of the establishment of this office.
Place – Leonidas Donskis library, V. Putvinskio St. 23, ground floor.
- Treasures in Tadas Ivanauskas’ personal library-museum. During the tour, you will see the authentic library of a Lithuanian naturalist zoologist, professor, learn the history of the establishment of the museum.
Place – Agriculture Academy library, Studentų St. 11-235, Akademija, Kaunas r.
Excursions should be booked in advance. Please contact the library director or contacts provided. Visitors are welcome I-V 9-12, 13-16.
Event booking
Library premises can be used for university events if their dates are agreed upon in advance with library director.
Events can take place in the following library departments:
- L. Donskis library, V. Putvinskio St. 23, ground floor (100 seats)
- V. Biržiška library, K. Donelaičio St. 52, 2nd floor (100 seats)
- M. Riomeris library, Jonavos St. 66-106 (30 seats)
- Agriculture Academy library, Studentų St. 11-235, Akademija (25 seats)
- M. Lukšienė library, T. Ševčenkos St. 31,1st floor, Vilnius (30 seats)
Note: During the events, the library premises remain accessible to students and other members of the university community for work – the events do not interfere with the use of the library. Events in the library do not take place during exam session.
