The mission of the library is to provide information resources and effective services in support of education and research needs of the Vytautas Magnus University community. |
The vision of the library is:

to be an open and modern academic library

to be the leader in storing the richest collections of documents on social sciences and humanities in Kaunas and its area

to be engaged in research on librarianship, information and communication, and book science
-
to look for partners and to participate in international librarianship and related organizations

to continue prewar traditions of the university library.
